Infection Control RN Shift: Full-time, Day Shifts

Infection Control RN Key Duties:
- Daily rounds on unit to supervise, observe, examine, interview residents, evaluate staffing needs, monitor regulatory compliance, to achieve the care environment and to evaluate staff interactions and clinical skills competency.
- Develops and maintains nursing policies and procedures that reflect current standards of nursing practice and facility philosophy of care consistent with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Establishes and implements infection control program designed to provide a safe, sanitary, and comfortable environment and to prevent the development of disease and infection.
- Provides education to all departments on the application of infection control principles and procedures to specific situations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive nurse onboarding program, including orientation and training of new nurses and other clinical staff.
- Train and certify staff in CPR, and ensure all staff are current in their certification.
Infection Control RN Requirements:
- Experience with Infection Control practices.
- Knowledge of MDS and Care Planning Process
- Graduate of a Registered Nurse degree program of college or university.
- Current CPR instructor certification
- Basic computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft Office, Internet, Web applications, PowerPoint, and Excel.
