Principal Accountabilities:

  • Troubleshoots machinery and automation failures as necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, case erector, filler, palletizer, conveyors, motor control devices, such as magnetic starters, control panels, PLC s
  • Input sensing devices, such as limit switches, photo sensors, level sensors, etc.; other output devices, such as solenoid valves, indicators, alarms, etc.
  • Assist in the design and installation of new or upgraded equipment and machinery, such as conduit, wiring, power distribution, machine controls, machine automation, motors, counters, lighting, heat tracing, etc.
  • Design, implement and modify PLC logic programming and handle technical documents
  • Operate packaging machinery (Filler, blow molder, labeler, case packer and etc.) and/or warehouse equipment(ASRS crane, conveyors, trolleys)
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations(including food safety policies and procedures)
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
  • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
  • Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience and/or electrical knowledge
