We are looking for Experience Industrial Maintenance Technicians for a tier-one Automotive Supplier in Warren, MI. This is a Contract-to-Hire role. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
Shift: 3rd shift-10 pm to 6:30 am start times can range between 9:30 to 10 pm 7 days a week
Pay Rate: 31.51/hr or 33.35/hr(with Journeyman's card) -rate includes 50 cent shift premium
Job Duties
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment with minimal supervision using safe electrical techniques, schematics, and diagnostic instruments.
- Perform mechanical functions and incidental work as needed
- Perform electronic component replacement per familiarity and/or prior training
- Respond to requests by maintenance supervisor or support personnel and arraign by priority to maximize equipment uptime.
- Gather and maintain a complete set of required tools, including calipers, dial indicators, electrical meters, and other diagnostic and measurement devices.
- Utilize measurement devices to ensure print tolerances and industry standards are met went completing machine repairs and assembly
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve operational uptime and equipment life
- Recommend improvements and/or changes to PM systems/tasks when applicable.
- Follow orders as written including PM work orders, continuous improvement tasks, new installation line-ups, and repair/refurbish assignments.
- Update drawings/prints suggest spare parts and suitable replacements, run conduit/wire-way and power drops
- Build, label, and wire panels/boxes in a professional manner per line-up and schematics.
- Follow standard practices and governmental regulations and laws relating to powered equipment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and management.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Journeyman's card or the equivalent of 8 years minimum work experience, required
- Ability to pass a Maintenance Technician aptitude test
- Working knowledge of industrial, mechanical, and electrical codes, techniques, and standards
- Familiar with government regulations for industry and safe work practices dealing with high-voltage circuits
- Knowledge of industrial, mechanical, and electrical codes, techniques, and standards
- Strong background in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic arms, and overall machine troubleshooting skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits and systems up to 110 volts
- Familiarity with complex machinery, electrical circuits, and plant operating equipment
