We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Production Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic Engineering team on a permanent basis. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our production lines, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, with expertise in PLC, and hydraulic or pneumatic systems. This role requires a hands-on technician who thrives in a fast-paced, continuously evolving environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular inspections of production equipment and machinery to identify and rectify any potential issues before they escalate, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.
2. Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks to keep all equipment in optimal working condition.
3. Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in a timely and efficient manner.
4. Program, install, and troubleshoot PLC systems to enhance production efficiency and safety.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance logs, and provide detailed reports on maintenance activities and equipment performance.
6. Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance and improve production processes.
7. Comply with all company safety and quality standards, and adhere to local and federal regulations.
8. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas and suggestions to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
9. Be available for on-call duties and overtime as required.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
2. Proven expertise in PLC programming, installation, and troubleshooting.
3. Experience in maintaining and repairing hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
4. A strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues quickly and effectively.
6. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across different departments.
7. A proactive approach to maintenance, with a strong focus on preventing issues before they occur.
8. The ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
9. A commitment to maintaining a safe and productive working environment.
10. Relevant technical qualifications or certifications will be highly regarded.
