WHAT YOU WILL DO

Our Maintenance Technician performs a broad variety of industrial maintenance tasks as part of a maintenance team that ensures equipment and facilities are in good working order.

  • Responsible for the daily maintenance and scheduled preventative maintenance for all production equipment.
  • Diagnoses problems, dismantles defective machines and equipment, and installs new or repaired parts, following the specifications set forth in blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings.
  • Troubleshoots problems and repairs electrical and mechanical devices and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Analyzes test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems.
  • Diagnose CNC equipment and PLC control systems.
  • Records repairs and maintenance performed, parts and materials used, and requisitions new parts and materials as necessary.
  • Controls downtown by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenance.
  • Operates cutting torches and welding equipment to fabricate, cut or join metal parts.
  • Uses tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as impact drills and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, schematics, safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with supervisor and/or coworkers.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direct supervision.
  • Must be able to work overtime with flexible starting times in some departments.
  • Regular and predictable attendance, safe performance of tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of the job.
