DescriptionThe Wire Draw Machine Operator is responsible for operating the wire draw machines productively and producing material within specification. This person is also responsible for changeovers, troubleshooting, and general housekeeping.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Operate draw machine efficiently an accurately
- Ability to do quality checks, read a tape measure, and check straightness
- Operate a forklift
- Operate an overhead crane
- Ability to pull, bend, and push wire while setting up machine
- Ability to complete production report at the end of the shift
- Understand, maintain, and perform work according to quality and environmental standards
- Maintain work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
- Follow established company rules and regulations and safety precautions
- Work hours assigned including overtime as required
RequirementsRequired Qualifications- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating industrial machinery
- Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience
- Good time management and proven multi-tasking skills
- Ability to be self-sufficient and self-motivated
- Demonstrates initiative, sense of urgency and is self-motivated when addressing work tasks
Preferred Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED
- Forklift crane experience
