We are currently seeking a skilled Industrial Forklift Operator to operate and maintain heavy equipment, primarily industrial forklifts (30,000-50,000 lbs.), in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities- Operate and maintain assigned heavy equipment, primarily forklifts, man lifts, and loaders, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.
- Perform pre-job inspections and periodic maintenance on all assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in deck and warehouse operations as necessary, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
- Conduct quality inspections of various cargoes and record production information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Transload cargo to and from truck/rail/vessel/barge by marks and count, demonstrating attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Support company safety initiatives and adhere to all operational directives and company policies, contributing to a safe and productive work environment.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- At least 1 year of heavy equipment experience in a maritime/stevedoring environment (preferred).
- Experience in cargo transportation (preferred).
- Ability to safely operate assigned equipment and work in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in clerical skills, record keeping, and equipment operations.
- Must possess a TWIC Card.
