The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Industrial Engineering Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Fridley, MN. Details for the position are as follows:

Title: Industrial Engineering Technician

Location: Fridley, MN

Duration: 12 months assignmnet

Hourly Rate on W2: $27/hr

Job Description:

• Responsible for assembly, set up, troubleshooting, testing and documentation of test results for testing articles (genset, sub-system, etc.).

• Collect prototype material, fabricate and build prototypes and validate engineering drawings.Provide feedback on assembly to engineers/stakeholders.

• Perform routine tests. Collect, analyze and interpret data per approved test plan. Make necessary adjustments (equipment, instrumentation, etc.). Review data to find any abnormalities to ensure quality.

• Draft test reports to include findings, conclusions and recommendations. Review this with Lead Technician or manager for approval. Present information to engineers/stakeholders.

• Independently troubleshoot and diagnose common test cell problems.

• Identify and participate in improvement projects (quality, safety, customer satisfaction) for the department/team. Participate in Kaizen Events as assigned.

• Follow correct safety procedures (i.e., tools, equipment, lifting, guards, protective equipment, etc.). Work safely and ensure the safety of others in the work area.

• Complete other work as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum Associates technical degree in engineering or related field from an accredited program

• Minimal experience required

• Knowledge of diagnoses and test cell problems, maintenance and calibration of test equipment

• Knowledge of quality and reliability principles

• Basic understanding of engines, alternators, controls, and enclosures.

• Basic instrumentation skills and knowledge

• Effective written and verbal communication skills (communicating to internal and external customers, peers, stakeholders, etc.)

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)

Candidates with hands on experience using tools, lab instruments, fabrication, welding and knowledge of operating and performing tests are encouraged to apply. Those with automotive and electrical work are preferred, Intermediate computer skills are required.

• Fabrication Skills: General fabrication skills (Cutting, Grinding, Welding, Basic Machining)
