Summary
Assist with production control, measurement, and planning by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
- Analyze work force utilization, facility layout and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts and production schedules to determine efficient utilization of workers, equipment, and materials.
- Perform cost analysis / ROI evaluations.
- Perform capacity analysis & maintain customer capacity database requirements.
- Prepares charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate / evaluate workflow, routing, material handling and machine utilization.
- Participate in piston/assembly drawing reviews and complete Part Feasibility Analysis.
- Create and maintain SAP materials, bills of material and routings. Assist with resolution of SAP issues, as needed.
- Assist the Production Part Approval Process for new products & changes to existing products.
- Assist Quality with the maintenance of the department Engineering Change Log.
- Organization & submission of 'customer paid' tooling documentation to the customer.
- Attend and support internal and external Customer Team Meetings as required.
- Lead the Strategic Plan / EP development, analysis & presentation preparation.
- Assist Production with inventory control, cycle count documents, etc.
- Maintenance of department OEE files and monthly OEE reporting.
- Prepares reports concerning departmental activities as required.
- Develops / Implements 'Standard Operating Procedures' for various departmental processes.
- Performs Audits (Safety, Quality, 5S, etc.), as required.
- Performs other assignments as instructed by Department Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software is necessary for this position holder.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
