Job Description The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings. This role requires a high level of expertise in electrical troubleshooting, problem-solving, and adherence to safety protocols. The Industrial Electrician maintains and operates engines to receive, transmit, and compress natural gas. General Duties and Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings, including motors, PLCs, and control systems. Perform electrical wiring, small conduit installations. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing equipment. Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as switches, relays, and circuit breakers. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective completion of projects. Follow electrical codes, blueprints, schematics. Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to minimize downtime. Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and safety regulations. Work safely at all times in compliance with OSHA requirements and following NGL policies and procedures at all times. Report and discusses safety concerns immediately with management. Position Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong background in instrumentation and control wiring. Experience with PLC wiring and troubleshooting. Familiarity with industrial automation systems. Knowledge of hazardous location electrical systems. Additional certifications or training in instrumentation and control wiring. Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams. Experience with electrical testing equipment and tools. Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Experience/Education: High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 5 years of industrial/commercial electrical experience preferred Valid electrician license certification required Valid driver's license required Travel: Requires the ability to travel to field locations where environment may vary significantly. Work in confined or restrictive working spaces. Balance with equipment and while moving large and/or heavy objects. Push and pull material and equipment from one place to another.
