Job Description The Industrial Electrician will troubleshoot, repair and inspect a wide variety of equipment, in both indoor and outdoor applications, in a continuous operational environment. The Industrial Electrician should have: Knowledge of electrical principles and wiring specification codes Knowledge of and experience with PLCs Experience working with motors, transformers, circuit breakers, electronic controls and other various equipment The Industrial Electrician will: Analyze and interpret one lines, wiring diagrams, sketches and diagrams to select a logistical approach to troubleshooting, tracing, and testing circuits Modify, maintain and install PLC programs Perform electrical isolation of equipment for safety of self and others, while minimizing interference to operations Advise operators, mechanics and other electrical maintenance personnel of standard operating procedures and requirements for electrical equipment and controls Qualifications 2 year degree in Electrical Technology OR 5 years relevant work experience High School Graduate or GED Basic PC literacy (Word, email, data entry) Able to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis Additional Information What We Offer Hourly Wage: The hourly wage for this position is $38.22 O-I offers a very generous benefit package - some of the highlights are: Vacation time and paid holidays Medical, dental, prescription and vision care coverage Pre-tax accounts Well-being program which includes opportunity to earn employer contributions Life and AD&D Insurance Disability Insurance 401(k) retirement saving plans with employer contributions Financial advisors to assist with retirement planning and financial wellness Employee Assistance Program All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
