In-House: Senior Counsel (Litigation or Corporate)
About the Position:
We have been exclusively engaged by a sophisticated Chicago-based company seeking a large law firm attorney with a ligation or corporate background (7 or more years; partner preferred) for an exciting Senior Counsel role. This unique opportunity blends marketing/business development, insurance coverage analysis, and underwriting, and offers an excellent work/life balance in a sophisticated legal group.

Responsibilities:
Work closely with internal departments and clients on renewal underwriting
Respond to inquiries regarding coverage, underwriting, pricing, claims experience and loss prevention services
Provide legal and insurance-related research and analysis
Prepare reports for Senior Management meetings and Board meetings
Work on marketing/business development initiatives to retain clients and recruit new clients
Travel (a few days per month) required
Required Qualifications:
Attorney with 7 or more years of litigation or corporate transactional experience
Large law firm partner preferred
Must have excellent client relations and communication skills and the desire for a strong client-facing position
