About the team

As part of the Implementation Consultant team at Stripe, you are the driving force behind our strategic clients. Your role is key in leading them through the integration process, turning them into long-term transacting Stripe users. Our team's core objective is to provide an efficient, seamless transition for our clients, assuring top-notch user satisfaction and relationship management.

  • In this role, you'd be joining the Professional Services team. Our team's mission is to Empower every Stripe user to achieve maximum value from their investment quickly and confidently
  • Our team helps Stripe increase the GDP of the internet by supporting the success of our large, intricate Stripe projects. This involves guiding users through their integration process, project planning, coordinating with stakeholders, handling deliverables, meeting key timelines, and educating our users about the maximum potential they can achieve with Stripe.
What you'll do

As an Implementation Consultant, you will be leading complex large professional services engagements. As part of the engagements, you will understand the user's target business outcomes, define the delivery and change management plans, establish relationships with senior stakeholders, and lead the delivery of the overall Stripe engagement You will be expected to collaborate across departments, including Sales, Technical Services, Product, and Engineering, to ensure a successful transition for our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Own the full onboarding cycle for mid-market and enterprise companies from contract signing through launch
  • Lead workshops with customers (strategy/vision/discovery/assessment workshops)
  • Shape Professional Services deals, build and negotiate contracts/Statements of Work
  • Autonomously lead complex, multi-party implementation projects in a highly consultative and proactive manner
  • Partner with other Sales and Technical Services teams to improve the overall Stripe user journey
  • Engage with Product and Engineering teams to help drive product strategy for large users
  • Collaborate with teammates on strategic projects that improve and scale our implementation process and team operations
  • Provide thought leadership by developing and refining best practices, creating new offerings, and highlighting creative solutions
  • Contribute to team, user and product communities
Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

  • 10+ years of customer-facing experience working with enterprise customers on technology solutions, with a track record of top performance
  • 5+ years in financial services , fintech consulting, or technology consulting
  • Proven experience in pre-sales/sales of sizable service engagements and in contract/SOW development.
  • Ability to understand complex business requirements and craft tailored solutions
  • Quick learner with the ability to explain technical concepts to Stripe's largest customers
  • Proven project management skills and strong critical thinking abilities
  • Experience identifying and solving internal process inefficiencies
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate independently in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of APIs
Preferred qualifications
  • A proven track record of driving cross-functional alignment across a broad set of stakeholders, including engineering, sales, support, product, marketing, data science, and senior leadership to achieve growth targets.
  • Prior experience at a growth stage Internet/software company
  • Experience in the payments industry
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $205,200 - $307,800. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
