About the Role:

Job Summary

The Outpatient Imaging Manager serves in a leadership role for the daily operations of Outpatient Diagnostic Imaging clinics, which includes planning for service agreements, equipment purchases and marketing initiatives. The manager is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of services including turn around time reporting, customer satisfaction, staffing, continuity of care between sites, image quality and coordinated work with radiologist and other physicians within the community.



Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Licensure or other certifications: Current ARRT or equivalent. Current ARRT or equivalent.

  • Educational Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Graduate of accredited ARRT program.

  • Minimum Experience: Five (5) years progressive management experience in a competitive imaging environment or experience in a private practice environment with outpatient imaging services. Heavy emphasis on imaging operations to include the reduction in patient wait times, no show patients, report turnaround, physician requests and smooth operations a must.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Serves in a leadership collaboratively and independently for programmatic planning, business planning, including major capital equipment purchases and marketing initiatives.

  • Responsible for compliance and accreditation for clinic. Maintains records of accreditation and quality control audits (ACR, FDA, MQSA and State).

  • Responsible for service contracts, maintenance calls and the scheduling of preventative maintenance on all equipment.

  • Resolves customer/patient/staff conflicts, complaints and concerns.

  • Participate in constant DNV readiness process for Imaging Services (i.e. daily department walk through, special projects, infection control compliance).

  • Responsible for staff schedule and coverage

  • Conducts interviews, hires, terminations, and managers performance of staff

  • Assure schedules are maximized and budget volumes are met. Develops plan of action if productivity standards are not met.

  • Review monthly financials to ensure expenses remain within allocated budget.

  • Ensures the timely completion of patient exams in accordance with the department procedures for technical quality and attention to meeting our Service Line commitments.

  • Understand CPT codes for exams and work with billing coordinator to update.

  • Seek and understand new technology.

  • Resolve issues with workflow and patient schedules. Assist with add-ons.

  • Provides input to coaching and monitoring performance for employees.

  • Develops and implements cost reduction ideas and opportunities.

  • Continuously monitors patient flow to ensure quality, efficiency and an optimization of the patient experience.

  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
