Job Title: IAM Supervisor

Location: Las Vegas, Durango, NV Hybrid

Duration: 6 months Contract to Hire.



Job Description:


This role is a hybrid role and the on site days will be in Las Vegas, Durango, NV

  • Coordinate with support groups for both on-prem and cloud Active Directory
  • Document a IAM Plan for distribution to the company.
  • Provide assessment of all security groups, to include any that are nested, and document purpose and business POC of each

o Evaluate for redundancies

  • Assess existing processes and make recommendations for improvements based on efficiency and Industry Best Practices
  • Evaluate existing software for Active Directory management and compliance reporting and provide recommendations for any improvement or additional needs

Responsibilities: As an Identity and Access Management Supervisor at Southwest Gas Corporation, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the IAM program, developing policies, and procedures to safeguard our digital assets, Enterprise and SCADA.
  • Lead or assist in the design and/or implementation of IAM solutions, evaluating and selecting technologies that align with business requirements.
  • Implementing IAM solutions, configuring access controls, permissions, access controls, managing user identities, and efficiently troubleshooting IAM issues.
  • Performing daily operational tasks, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, access reviews, and managing IAM systems for SWG employees, contractors and third-party vendors utilizing least privilege principles.
  • Monitoring and analyzing activity logs for potential security events, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring the security of IAM processes.
  • Ensuring IAM processes comply with regulatory requirements, audits, relevant laws and regulations, and compliance documentation.
  • Providing exceptional support to end-users, troubleshooting access issues, and addressing IAM-related inquiries.

Collaboration with IT Operations: Foster collaboration between the security team and IT operations to seamlessly integrate privilege management policies into the organization's daily operations. This collaborative effort ensures a holistic approach to security and operational efficiency.

Incident Response: May lead or assist incident response investigations for swift and effective responses to security incidents related to privileged access. These Incident Response teams will have the authority to investigate and take corrective actions, reinforcing our commitment to proactive security measures.

Regular Audits and Compliance Team: Establish or work closely with an existing compliance team to conduct regular audits of privilege management practices. This ensures adherence to industry standards and regulations, reinforcing our commitment to maintaining the highest levels of security
