Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced and talented Sr. Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work model and provides relocation assistance. As a Sr. Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, security, and performance of company databases. This role involves a high level of technical expertise and requires a candidate who can handle complex tasks such as planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures to safeguard the database.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
2. Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
3. Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations.
4. Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
5. Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
6. Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
7. Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
8. Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
9. Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
10. Setup and maintain Cisco firewalls.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. 3+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role.
3. 3+ years of experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
4. 3+ years of experience with backups, restores, and recovery models.
5. Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
6. Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory and proper disk configurations.
7. Good communication and documentation skills.
8. C , SQL, Asess, CNA/CompTIA Network+ Certification useful.
9. Microsoft Administrator, Solution Architect, Security, and/or Data Engineer certifications.
10. Experience with setup of Cisco firewalls.
11. Ability to organize and plan work independently.
12. Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
13. Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams.
14. MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus.
