Key Duties:
  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates, and non-profits.
  • Research and cooperate on diverse tax projects.
  • Respond to inquiries and requests from the IRS and other regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare extensions and quarterly estimates.
  • Contribute to other projects as required.
  • Understand and value the significance of client relationships and timely client service.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of new staff.

Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the field.
  • A Master of Tax degree is desirable.
  • Prior experience in public accounting is a plus but not essential.
  • Preference for CPA certified individuals. Non-CPAs should either meet the educational prerequisites or be in the process of meeting the requirements to sit for the exam.
  • Proficient in problem-solving, critical thinking, research, and written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
  • Ability to follow directions, exercise good judgement, and demonstrate tact.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is desired.
  • Highly motivated with a proactive approach to professional growth and development.
