Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the operational and strategic aspects of the general ledger financial accounting functions across multiple ERP systems, ensuring accurate and timely monthly account reconciliations.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Finance and Financial Reporting Manager, as well as FP&A leaders.
- Develop and implement analytical processes to investigate monthly fluctuations in trial balances, comparing them to budget, forecast, prior year, and overall trends.
- Stay updated on GAAP and other authoritative guidance, interpreting and applying changes effectively.
- Interact with external auditors to address GAAP changes and coordinate updates.
- Establish and maintain a robust system of internal controls for the financial reporting process. Identify opportunities for improvement in collaboration with the Director of Financial Shared Services.
- Plan, organize, and partner with finance leadership to streamline the year-end close process and annual audit.
- Foster the development of high-potential talent and drive organizational change through regular reviews, coaching, and feedback.
- Collaborate with IT on ERP updates/projects to ensure thorough testing before production.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance.
- A minimum of 6 years of related experience, with at least 2 years in manufacturing/distribution.
- Strong GAAP knowledge, consolidations, and foreign currency translation.
- Proficiency in ERP systems.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Previous accounting/finance experience in a domestic and foreign company would be a plus.
