Accounting Manager
Our client is a leading business that has expanded throughout the US. They provide energy resources to consumers and businesses around the world. They are currently seeking an Accounting Manager (Lead Accountant) to join their Accounting team.

You will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and lead accounting projects from development through implementation. You will drive ongoing process improvement and transformation efforts and act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and development for less experienced accounting professionals and support teams. Additionally, you will act as a strategic business partner to Managers and Executives, providing high-level support to Accounting management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead accounting projects from development through implementation that have measurable impact on company progress.
- Act as a subject matter expert and lead, providing guidance and development for less experienced accounting professionals and support teams.
- Act as a strategic business partner to Managers and Executives, providing high-level support to Accounting management.
- Ensure that financial reports are completed on time, in accordance with GAAP principles, and accurately reflect financial position.
- Coach, advise, and/or train less-experienced accountants and serve as a point of escalation for more complex accounting issues.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
- Public foundation a plus
- Knowledge of GAAP principles.
- CPA certification or CPA exam eligible.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with others to obtain, share, verify, and validate information.
- Proficiency in Excel.
