We are seeking a HVAC Technical Service Representative to join our team. This position will advise with technical support by telephone, email, text regarding current and past Thermo Products appliances, warranty approvals, and internal customer service support. This is a mid-level position. The ideal candidate will have an interest in manufacturing with some experience in troubleshooting and mechanical repairs.

This is a full-time, salary position located in Denton, NC. Hours are Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assist Contractors, Installer, Service Technicians, and Distributers with product application and installation questions and issues
Assist Service Technicians with troubleshooting electrical, combustion, and mechanical issues on oil, gas furnaces, and air conditioners
Assist all Thermo Pride customers (homeowners) with parts identification, numbers, and technical issues
Answer technical related emails from our company website
Support for the internal customer service department
Review and approve heat exchanger and compressor warranties, while maintain a data base and providing proper paperwork to the Warranty department
Work with warranty department regarding returns and credits on new equipment field failures
Review equipment manuals as requested by Engineering
Assists in technical liaison services between management, production department, sales department and customers with newly developed techniques or practices in processing company products, and to inform customers of new types, specifications, and end-users of products.
Will review product specifications with customer and or salesperson.
Will assist management on special projects as required.
Answers telephone and will respond to faxes/E-Mail on questions of a technical nature.
Will be traveling some.

Qualifications/Requirements:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong understanding of gas and oil furnace service, installation, and troubleshooting as well as air conditioning
Understand electrical circuits and combustion analysis on oil and gas furnaces plus air conditioning
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Individual should have knowledge of basic word processing software.
Strong communication/people skills
