As a HVAC/R Technical Specialist, the successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of technical systems and providing unparalleled support to our customers. Your responsibilities encompass a wide array of tasks, from reviewing technical documentation to conducting on-site evaluations and troubleshooting complex issues.

Additionally, you'll contribute to the development of reporting requirements and analytical analysis projects, leveraging your analytical skills to derive meaningful insights.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Review technical material such as user manuals and troubleshooting guides for accuracy.
  • Maintain prompt communication with customers and third-party partner representatives to swiftly resolve issues.
  • Collaborate across departments to resolve business and technical issues, providing feedback on root cause analysis.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues to provide sustainable solutions within deadlines.
  • Identify opportunities for process and productivity enhancements, actively supporting execution.
  • Assist in developing reporting requirements and analytical analysis initiatives.
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess equipment installations and performance.
  • Test HVAC equipment to validate control logic and functionality, ensuring optimal performance of Flō equipment.
  • Exemplify behaviours aligning with Flō's Success Profiles, embodying strategic priorities and fostering a culture of accountability.

The Person


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the HVAC/R industry, including troubleshooting mechanical/electrical products.
  • Extensive experience in building automation and control systems.
  • Completion of post-secondary HVAC/R technical program preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in reviewing and understanding wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proven track record of maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across various platforms.
  • Strong remote guidance and instruction skills.
  • Flexibility to shift focus as priorities dictate.
