Job Description: We're looking for a dynamic and passionate HR professional with a strong drive to make a significant impact on Kudu's culture, talent, and growth. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who possesses a diverse skill set, a deep understanding of human resources, and a strong commitment to fostering a positive workplace environment. The Human Resources Generalist will help establish, drive, and strengthen the Kudu culture by cultivating best practices in the human resources function. While partnering with the Director of HR, this individual will utilize their knowledge and expertise in data management, benefits administration, compliance with employment laws, employee offboarding, HR system management, and employee relations to evaluate, analyze, and resolve human resources opportunities in support of Kudu's overall business objectives. Responsibilities: Formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to leaders and Kudites that reflect the business objectives of the organization Partner with the Director of HR to provide day-to-day guidance to Kudites in the form of coaching, counseling, learning and development, etc. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to Kudites and leaders. Manage and execute employee relations matters, including investigation concerns, providing coaching to Kudites and leaders consistent with the Kudu culture. Ensure timely and thorough human resources case management with quick, fair, and consistent resolution of investigations. Assist Kudites with day-to-day HR inquiries; work with colleagues in Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Learning and Development, to ensure HR inquiries are answered thoroughly and in a timely manner. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to affect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Will lead, and work collaboratively, on processing terminations, exit interviews, the unemployment claim management process. Ensure compliance with company practices, policies, and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal employment regulations and law in support of HR compliance initiatives to reduce legal risks. Maintains records, reports, and logs pertaining to EEO reporting and Affirmative Action Planning. Compiles and maintains personnel and training records. Continually enhance HR expertise and stay updated with industry trends, emerging regulations, and best practices. Assist with various HR projects as needed. Regular, onsite attendance is an essential function of the job. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in human resources, psychology, or business-related discipline Must be eligible to obtain a TS Clearance Minimum of 2-3 years' experience, ideally in the areas of Employee Relations, HR Administration, Benefits, Leaves of Absence/Interactive Process/Work Accommodation. Experience with conducting workplace investigations Critical thinking and the ability to see end-2-end with a situation Comfortable with understanding how data can help drive solutions Demonstrate a high level of trust, confidentiality, and good judgment Must have strong oral and written communication skills and an ability to communicate with all levels of leadership and company personnel Ability to be a collaborative, team player Ability to make decisions and solve problems under pressure Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively and to accomplish job duties in an efficient and timely manner Ability to work independently Strong consultative and coaching skills Strong analytical skills and business acumen Strong project management skills Google and Microsoft Office intermediate knowledge required (advanced is preferred) Experience with HRIS is required; systems such as Paycor, ADP, Paylocity, Paycom Preferred Qualifications: SHRM-CP or PHR certification Knowledge of or ability to learn California and OCONUS labor laws Benefits: Stock in a company that is doing dynamic, fun, meaningful, and interesting work.
