Mission of Department:

Purpose of Position:

Provides administrative support in the day to day operations of Human Resources. Focuses on recruitment and hiring practices as well as company performance and morale initiatives. Strives to be the best; stretches own capabilities to continuously improve. Sets a positive example for all staff. Examines existing processes and problems and continuously looks for ways to do things better. Maintains a high degree of ethics, integrity, confidentiality and professionalism. Communicates honestly and confronts issues and problems as soon as they arise. Works cooperatively with other departments to achieve common goals. Demonstrates and promotes high standards for quality.


Essential Functions:

  • Aids in recruitment and retention practices and procedures.
  • Manages applications and maintains communication with applicants.
  • Schedules and conducts pre-employment meetings.
  • Performs clerical functions as required, including scanning, filing, and maintaining employee personnel files,
  • Completes Employment Verification as needed.
  • Executes regular I-9 audits to ensure compliance.
  • Assists with new employee orientation and benefit administration as needed.
  • Prepares and inputs employee performance reviews monthly.
  • Coordinates meeting room schedules.
  • Facilitates employee morale and recognition initiatives.
  • Manages RN and CNA license reporting on KANN Check and KDHE and completes ongoing licensure verification.
  • Records, updates, files, and communicates all changes to employee status, benefits, reviews and pay in a timely manner.
  • Aids in maintaining employee handbooks.
  • Assists in revising, developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures in accordance with State and Federal laws and regulations.

Additional Responsibilities:

Willingly assumes other duties as assigned by Human Resources Manager.




Requirements:

Education, Qualifications, Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, and/or other related degrees preferred or previous experience in Marketing, Human Resources, or related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and prevalent social media platforms.

  • HR Generalist background with broad knowledge of employment laws, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, education and development preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Must have effective oral and written communications skills, including excellent interpersonal skills.
