Position Description: Position Summary: We are looking for an HR Coordinator to administer and execute essential human resource programs covering a wide range of functions including compensation, benefits, and leaves; disciplinary matters; and talent management among others. The ideal candidate will be proactive in maintaining employee engagement and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient HR operations and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Core Duties:
    • Administer and execute HR programs such as compensation, benefits, performance management, and employee engagement.
    • Maintain accurate and current employee records in the HRIS.
    • Conduct new-hire onboarding and assist in the administration of HR policies.
  • Support Functions:
    • Maintain employee engagement programs including service awards and company newsletters.
    • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to monitor background checks and screenings.
    • Ensure compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and certifications.
  • Interpersonal Engagement:
    • Respond to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex or sensitive issues to management.
    • Partner with management to organize and coordinate employee engagement events.
  • Compliance and Ethics:
    • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Review and track HR policies and practices to ensure they meet recommended best practices.
  • Flexibility for Role-Specific Tasks:
    • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the HR department and overall organizational goals.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Prior HR experience is beneficial, especially in a multi-functional HR role.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Office; strong communication skills capable of writing reports and business correspondence.
  • Language Requirements: Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
