SPA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Business Partner to join our growing team. In this strategic role, you will partner closely with business leaders across the organization to provide comprehensive HR support, including Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Employee Relations (ER), and traditional HR Business Partner (HRBP) duties. You will also serve as a utility player, taking on special projects and initiatives as needed. This position is located at our headquarters in Alexandria, VA, with the opportunity for hybrid remote work. Responsibilities Partner with business leaders across SPA to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives that align with business goals. Provide expert guidance and support on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and compensation. Manage M&A activities from an HR perspective, including due diligence, integration planning, and post-merger employee relations. Address and resolve employee relations issues effectively, ensuring a positive and productive work environment. Stay up-to-date on HR trends and best practices, and implement innovative solutions to improve HR processes. Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on all HR matters. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field 5+ years of experience in a progressive HR generalist or HRBP role Proven experience partnering with business leaders to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives Strong understanding of HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation and benefits, and employee relations Experience with M&A activity from an HR perspective is a plus Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
