Contract Description
The HPC System Administrator will work entirely at the direction of the customer to assist in Compute System Administration support while serving as a member of the team at the Customer's location. The HPC System Administrator will work with the support of the Customer's staff to provide critical information, as well as direction related to task prioritization. Responsibilities may include, but not be limited to, the following:

• HPE Performance Cluster Manager (HPCM) and Parallel File Storage System (PFSS) system administration

• Responsible for the normal day-to-day administrative operation and maintenance of the HPE provided systems.

• Provide on-going performance analysis, performance tuning for Customer's implemented environment and recommendations for future architectures.

• Escalate issues and problems to HPE Support and/or Engineering as necessary.

• Deploying and maintaining high performance communications fabrics

• Assist with the identification, troubleshooting, and repair of software problems impacting performance of implemented solution.

• Assist with the Installation of Customer's designated and properly licensed software patches and upgrade software/firmware as mutually agreed.

• Assist with the resolution of software trouble tickets and software problems identified by Customer's Systems and users.

• Resources shall intercede on Customer's behalf if any hardware or software malfunctions or misbehaves and interact with service personnel when repairs are necessary.

• Respond to Customer's designated software trouble tickets and software problems identified by Customer's designated system administrators and users.

• Work with Customer on identifying and implementing additional service functionality on Customer's environment. Enterprise Skills

TEKsystems is seeking a HPC System Administrator with extensive Linux experience. A TS/SCI clearance is required. Opportunity to support a HPC System and gain experience in the quickly developing supercomputing sector. Long-term contract with possibility of converting to support this system and/or the many other systems builds and maintains around the world. Work Environment
Location: Monterey, CA (Onsite Daily M-F)
OT: Up to 12 hours of overtime available per month

Skill Requirements:

• Highly developed Linux system admin skills a must.

• Has sufficient depth and breadth of technical knowledge to implement and scope multiple deliverables across several technologies. Mostly High-Performance clusters and storage solutions.

• Able to communicate with internal and external senior management confidently and demonstrate the professionalism of the job.

• Ability to work in a multi- technology environment with the ability to diagnose complex technical problems to their root cause. In addition to troubleshooting skills and consulting skills, has ability to summarize prognosis and impact at practice lead level. Ability to adapt a consulting style appropriate to the situation and can identify up-sell opportunities.
