Job description: A private family in Chelsea, NY seeks to hire an experienced and detail-oriented
Housekeeper to join a household team of Housekeepers to help clean and organize their home in NYC.
The ideal candidate must be hard-working and passionate about providing excellent service and support to the principals and guests.
Responsibilities: - Full-charge housekeeping responsibilities; museum-quality cleaning and organizing
- Laundry and ironing of clothing and linens, caring for fine garments
- Organizing closets and wardrobe management
- Travel packing/unpacking
- Household organization (closets, pantries, cabinets, etc.)
- Hands-on care for furniture; polishing fine surfaces, silver and fine china
- Assisting with special events and dinners
- Help with dinner service (setting up tables for formal dinners, and assisting with meal service).
- Providing excellent service to principals and guests
Requirements: - Minimum 3 years related work experience
- Private home experience preferred
- Utmost sense of confidentiality and discretion
- Excellent references from current and previous employers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English)
- Professional, polished, and poised at all times
- Hands-on with good attitude, high energy, strong work ethic, and an attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Flexibility in schedule with availability to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Valid United States work authorization
