Cleveland-Cliffs has opportunities for entry level steel production positions at our Dearborn Works facility. This opportunity is ideal for anyone looking to get a start in the steel-making industry.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- This is a general production position, therefore responsibilities will vary based on assignment.
- Qualified applicants must be able to perform any and all tasks assigned and must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- These tasks typically involve physical labor, standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting, as needed.
- Candidates may be expected to operate machinery such as cranes and mobile equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A valid drivers license.
- Three years of industrial work experience and mechanical aptitude or abilities preferred.
- Candidates must be willing to operate in-cab cranes that are approximately 70 feet above ground level or higher.
Due to the nature of the operations, the facility is manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. Candidates are required to be willing to work any shift, any day of the week including nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts are typically 8 to 12 hours a day and may include overtime.
