Hospitalist Physician

UPMC North Central Pa. has a need for a full-time motivated, patient focused family medicine or internal medicine trained physician to join our progressive internal medicine practice in Coudersport, Pennsylvania. UPMC Cole is a modern, progressive system centered around a 25-bed critical access hospital located on a large, well-maintained campus with a service area covering 55,000 living in six counties in North Central Pennsylvania and Western New York. UPMC Cole owns and operates eleven primary care and eighteen specialty medical practices located in Coudersport and counties surrounding the hospital PRACTICE DESCRIPTION: Hybrid position incorporating 10 weeks of hospitalist coverage with 25 weeks of outpatient practice Call may be required during 10 weeks of hospitalist coverage Join 4 physicians and 4 APPs between the internal medicine and hospitalist programs Providers see 15-20 adult patients per day in the internal medicine outpatient clinic Providers manage 10-18 patients per day in hospitalist program CANDIDATE PARAMETERS: M.D. or D.O. Male or Female Any Experience Level Excellent communication skills and empathy are required Board-Certified (or Board-Eligible for Residents) Must have very good to excellent malpractice history with current coverage Must not have been a sanctioned party When on call, must immediately respond and be at the hospital within 30 minutes FINANCIAL PACKAGE: Hospital employment MGMA competitive salary Initial agreement 36-month term; will consider longer terms Signing bonus, retention bonus, or combination of both is negotiable.
