Responsibilities:

Direct Patient Care: Provide comprehensive care to adult medical patients, collaborating with the attending physician to manage their conditions effectively.

Admission Work-Ups: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic testing, to develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.

Daily Patient Management: Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care.

Discharge Planning: Coordinate and facilitate safe and timely patient discharges, including medication reconciliation, follow-up care coordination, and patient/family education.

Interdisciplinary Rounding: Actively participate in interdisciplinary rounds to discuss patient care plans, progress, and goals with other healthcare team members.

Mentorship and Education: Contribute to the education of learners by providing clinical learning experiences, sharing knowledge, and offering skill training.

Qualifications:

Nurse Practitioner:

Master's degree in nursing or a related field.

Active and unrestricted New York State license in good standing.

Physician Assistant:

Completion of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program.

Licensure in good standing and certified as a Registered Physician Assistant in New York.

Experience:

2+ years of experience in hospital-based medicine preferred.

Skills:

Excellent clinical skills and judgment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Motivation, flexibility, and a desire to learn.
