About This Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) Position HopeHealth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Massachusetts team. HopeHealth is a fast-growth and innovative not-for profit healthcare organization, focused on caring for people with serious illness. We deliver a unique array of medical care, care management and support services throughout southeastern Massachusetts. This is a per diem position. What will you do as a Hospice Registered Nurse (RN)? Conducts assessments for home and nursing home patients. Assesses patient and family status based on the physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, and emotional needs presented. Develops a written plan of care with IDT, defining goals and nursing actions based on needs identified in assessment of patient and family. Implements the plan of care under the direction of the attending physician. Evaluates the plan of care on a regular basis and as necessary to meet the changing needs of the Hospice patient and caregiver. Instructs the caregiver in the care of the terminally ill based on the individual personal differences, educational background and previous experience. Demonstrates skill in interpersonal relationships with Hospice patient, families, nursing home staff, co-workers and community support services. Maintains accurate records in designated manner to record observations, problems and nursing actions which reflect the care given to Hospice patients / families at time of visits. What are the qualifications for this job? Current MA Nursing License Two years hospice or oncology preferred Homecare nursing experience preferred Two years medical / surgical nursing experience preferred. Must have well developed nursing assessment and clinical skills. RN required BSN preferred Hospice/Palliative care nursing certification preferred CPR Certification What are the job benefits?
