We are currently seeking a Hospice Regional Volunteer Manager in the North and South Houston area who shares our passion for providing dignified, compassionate end-of-life care. The non-negotiables: Three to five years' management experience in an administrative role; experience in Volunteer Services or Human Resources preferred One year of experience supervising multiple teams: setting performance expectations, coaching, motivating, promoting collaboration and teamwork, managing change, providing performance feedback, delegating effectively, resolving conflicts, etc What you will be doing: Is responsible for regional management of volunteer database from initial applicant data entry through the entire service of the volunteer and continuously monitors volunteer time and tracks statistics Responsible for the daily downloading, calling, pre-screening and tracking of all online volunteer applicants Maintains patient care volunteer personnel files. Coordinates audit of existing volunteer files to ensure compliance with regulations Assists with providing direction and supervision to office volunteers Participates in the Region's Interdisciplinary Team meetings communicating patient/volunteer assignment updates Prepares volunteer birthday greetings and appreciation cards for delivery Provides administrative support for complementary hospice programs such as essential oils and memory catchers etc Prepares and coordinates annual event calendar. Serves as the point of contact for the department's calendar of events Plans and coordinates all special events for department Serves as Safety Officer for the department and ensures compliance with JCAHO standards of the volunteer program Performs all other related duties as assigned Anticipated pay range $58,000-$60,000 USD We are looking for someone who: Loves people Has compassion and patience A quick learner who is dedicated to professional growth Is ethical, honest, dependable, and open-minded Is an effective communicator in both verbal and written English Silverado is not using outside recruiters to source for this position and will not accept agency or non-Silverado recruiter represented candidates in connection with this job posting.
