Salary Range $21.16 - $24.70 Per Hour JOB SUMMARY: Works independently to satisfy the customer's needs. Fabricates hose assemblies for customers. Makes hose assemblies to Caterpillar specifications. Identifies and replaces all hose assemblies within the manufacture's specifications. Operates the hose "CRIMPUTER". Reads and understands digital calipers. Maintains computer skills to be fully conversant with DBS, Antares, SIS and HIS. Recalibrates and resets the crimputers on the Hose machines. Manufactures battery cables to Caterpillar's specification. Ships and receives parts and components. Provides customer assistance at the sales counter when required. Operates forklifts and company vehicles. Maintains the inventory at EHS. Handles cash sales at the sales counter, as required. Uses Caterpillar's web site to obtain detailed drawings of hose assemblies. Fully understands the orientation and calibration of hose assemblies. Handles inventory returns, core credits. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Fabricates Hose assemblies and battery cables as per customer specifications. Fabricates Hydraulic hose assemblies as per Caterpillar's specifications. Fabricates and identifies Hydraulic hose assemblies for Allied equipment. Calibrates and resets Hydraulic hose press. Measures and calibrates hose ends on permanent style fittings. Uses digital calipers to determine crimp quality and integrity. Fabricates hose assemblies using the reusable (CAT) style hose fittings. Accurately measures and sets angle orientation on hydraulic hose assemblies, permanent and reusable styles. Provides customer sales counter service as needed for parts and service operations. Maintains good technical skills and upkeep in training within the fluid connector business. Facilitates cash sales at the sales counter as and when required. Handles certified rebuild hose assemblies in timely manner. Operates hose cut-off machine. Works safely at all times. Adheres to all applicable safety policies. Complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Ships and receives parts and repair components. Checks parts sale orders PSO's and delivery receipts for accurate information. Picks up and delivers parts and components through out the Mesa campus. Maintains essential warehouse functions. Fills orders from stock. Assists in inventory controls and Inventory cycle counts. Maintains good house keeping in the shop and warehouse areas. Works within and promotes corporate values. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Computer skills conversant with DBS, Antares, SIS, HIS. Reads and understands digital calipers. Must have mathematical skills sufficient for measuring hose, counting stock, and maintaining supply inventories. Mechanical aptitude. Ability to maintain consistent attendance. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Prior experience in Fluid connector business Completed Caterpillar Hose and Hose coupling Training. Must have Caterpillar certification in Hose assembly. Minimum 2 years in Fluid conveying business. Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
