Position: Horticulture Specialist
Job Summary
This position provides horticultural expertise to the Marketing and Customer Service Departments. Delivers education, training & guidance to customer service team members on gardening questions. Provides expert help to advanced horticulture customer questions via email, phone, live chat and social media. Fosters customer engagement and loyalty.
Location: Corporate Office - Warminster, Pa

Key Responsibilities:


• Provides professional & efficient support to advanced customer service horticultural phone calls, emails & social media questions.

• Partners with marketing team on messaging for educational and regional campaigns, PR inquiries.

• Creates social media "talk" topics pertinent to the current gardening season with the social team.

• Responsible for providing general horticulture training & guidance to the customer service team.

• Creates email templates and customer service portal entries on horticultural & growing questions.

• Develops training materials for the customer service team on gardening basics & our current product inventory offered online & through the catalog.

• Supports training of seasonal & contract labor employees on general gardening information and our catalog lines.
• Places orders, issues refunds & replacements, research problems & resolves customer complaints.
• Additional projects as assigned by the Customer Service Manager/Direct Marketing Team.

Qualifications:

  • Horticulture experience
  • Enthusiasm for our products; able to explain and answer customer questions with confidence
  • Previous customer interaction experience
  • Outstanding verbal & written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Office; ability to learn new programs quickly and easily
