Home Care Intake Clerk Liaison

Position Summary: Assists in the daily operations of the intake department to facilitate the referral and insurance authorization processes. Verifies insurance eligibility as appropriate Monitors pending admissions via EMR and follow up as appropriate Monitors authorization due dates and communicates to staff timely Obtains Insurance for on-going care Basic ICD-9 coding as appropriate Assists as back-up to receptionist Requirements 2-3 years health care experience required. Home Care authorization experience required. Basic knowledge of referral process, insurance, and medical terminology required. Excellent written and verbal skills required.
