Histologist

Job Summary: Performs a wide variety of processes and procedures in the Anatomic Pathology section of the laboratory. Implements and tests new techniques and procedures. Able to apply the principles of management and educational methodology with minimal supervision. Qualifications: Bachelor degree from a recognized college or university or completion of a CAHEA approved program. HTL(ASCP) registration preferred. HT(ASCP) or unregistered technologist with 1+ years experience and considerable technical skills eligible. Thorough knowledge of laboratory processing techniques and methods. Considerable organization skills. Ability to work under time constrictions with minimal supervision. Ability to deal tactfully with nursing and medical staffs.
