Hematology/Oncology opening: Hastings, NE Medicare licensed 161 bed acute care facility in Hastings, NE, seeks to retain the services of a Medical Oncology physician to complement the current team About the Job - Full-time- Permanent- Independent and not-for-profit facility- Primary market area that spans south central Nebraska and north central Kansas. - Health Center is a progressive, vibrant medical service provider, characterized by a uniquely collaborative relationship between a forward-looking, quality-focused administration, a clinically sophisticated and dedicated medical community, and an array of superb ancillary staff. The active medical staff of approximately 100 physicians includes disciplines of nephrology, pulmonary/critical care, cardiology, infectious disease, general surgery, otorhinolaryngology, urology, neurology, physiatry, orthopedic surgery, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, and psychiatry, among others. Cancer Center Details The Cancer Center provides comprehensive cancer care through advanced medical and radiation oncology services. Working from a cutting-edge facility located on the campus, our team provides South Central Nebraska and North Central Kansas with the best care in a warm, inviting environment. Cancer Center offers both medical oncology and radiation therapy, allowing our patients to receive the services needed by a multidisciplinary team dedicated to his or her care. Cancer Center offers onsite CT, PET imaging, laboratory and pharmacy services, and genetic counseling to screen for hereditary, familial cancer risk. About the Medical Center After a 50 million dollar, seven-year renovation, the hospital provides well-appointed, state of the art patient accommodations. Adult medical care is provided in various settings, including a 10-bed ICU, 21-bed Inpatient Rehab Unit (IRU), 20-bed adult inpatient Behavioral Services Unit, 22 bed Medical/Surgical Unit, and 12 bed Progressive Care Unit (telemetry). Requirements Candidates must be board-certified/board-eligible in Medical Oncology/Hematology. Annual salary range is commiserate with experience. An exceptionally generous benefit package accompanies the base salary.
