Summary:

As the Project Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the successful execution of projects. You'll lead, direct, and coordinate the day-to-day management of our heavy highway construction projects throughout Ohio.

Primary Responsibilities:

Exhibit an unparalleled commitment to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all project-related tasks.

Collaborate closely with the estimating group to develop precise project budgets, leveraging keen attention to detail.

Engage in estimating activities, dedicating a minimum of 20% of time to ensure thoroughness and accuracy in project assessments.

Utilize past experience in a mid to large size construction company, or potentially a civil engineering firm, to enhance project management effectiveness.

Demonstrate expertise in reviewing estimates and developing comprehensive project budgets, drawing upon a background in construction or civil engineering firms.

Assist in developing schedules, phasing, and logistics to ensure project success.

Manage bid, award, and procurement processes for subcontractors and suppliers.

Oversee project management tasks including budget management, change orders, invoicing, and profit management.

Produce and present monthly project reports, schedules, and executive updates.

Ensure quality control, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

Act as a liaison between stakeholders, including owners, design teams, and subcontractors.

Mentor and educate junior team members on project management best practices.

Participate in project risk analysis, RFQ/RFP responses, and future job opportunity development.

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum three years of experience with bridges, culverts, road reconstruction, underground utilities, and site work.

Level One (minimum) or Level Two (highly preferred) Bridge inspection certified.

Minimum three years of ODOT experience.

Comfortable transitioning between being in the field and office-based tasks seamlessly.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Experience with accounting and project management software.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills.

Strong work ethic with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
