A bit about us:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in the coal industry. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various heavy equipment, such as bulldozers, excavators, haul trucks, and loaders, in a safe and efficient manner within the coal mine site.

The ideal Heavy Equipment Operator will have experience in either construction, quarry or mining.

All field operations are within 15 minutes of the corporate office.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment, such as bulldozers, excavators, haul trucks, and loaders, to move and load coal materials
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries
• Communicate with supervisors and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and production activities
• Adhere to environmental regulations and practices to minimize impact on the environment

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in the coal industry
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Strong understanding of equipment operations and maintenance procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and shift schedules
