Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of heavy civil construction projects from planning to implementation, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Supervise and manage a team of subcontractors, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and other technical documents.
  • Manage change orders, ensuring that any changes to the project scope are properly documented and approved.
  • Implement and manage quality control processes, ensuring that all work meets or exceeds the required standards.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and project managers.
  • Resolve any issues or disputes that arise during the construction process.
  • Plan and manage site logistics, ensuring that all materials and equipment are available when needed.
  • Conduct regular project meetings, providing updates on project progress and addressing any issues or concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience within the heavy civil construction industry.
  • Proven experience in managing subcontractors and overseeing large construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and other technical documents.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and compliance.
  • Proven experience in managing change orders and quality control processes.
  • Excellent project management and site management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • A degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
