Job Details

Superintendent applicants should be extremely detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated, and have the ability to find solutions to both routine and complex construction problems while continuing to ensure the project is moving forward.

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all aspects of the field and job-site construction to ensure the project is delivered in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Responsible for assessing labor/management needs specific to the project and reporting to the Project Manager accordingly.
  • Provide technical assistance, recommending construction methods and equipment as required, suggesting alternatives to mitigate delays and interface issues during design changes and ongoing construction.
  • First Line of Communication between the Project Manager and Foremen.
  • Ensure all onsite personnel complies and follows safety procedures.
  • Responsible for completing daily reports.

Qualifications:

  • Earthwork experience, beach re-nourishment projects preferable.
  • Experience working from a barge
  • Expertise in Pile Driving and Breakwater Stone/Shoreline Protection
  • Must be able to work outdoors on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws on safety and environment and their application to construction.
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and supervisory skills.
  • Preferable experience with Federal Government, including USACE.
