Summary

As a Healthcare Domain Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing architecture solutions that meet the unique needs and challenges of the healthcare industry. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, including healthcare providers, IT teams, and business leaders, to develop innovative and scalable solutions that improve patient care, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

BS/MS in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Define and maintain the overall architecture vision and strategy for healthcare systems, applications, and infrastructure.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into architectural designs and technical specifications.
Develop comprehensive architectural blueprints and roadmaps that align with business objectives and priorities.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architectural consistency and integration across all healthcare IT systems and platforms.
Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in the healthcare industry and recommend solutions that drive innovation and competitive advantage.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Conduct architecture reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
Act as a subject matter expert on healthcare industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements, such as HIPAA, HL7, and ICD-10.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of healthcare IT systems.
Collaborate with vendors and external partners to evaluate and integrate third-party solutions and services as needed.

Requirements

In-depth knowledge of healthcare industry standards, protocols, and regulations.
Proven expertise in designing and implementing healthcare systems, including Electronic Health
Records (EHR), Health Information Exchange (HIE), and Clinical Decision Support (CDS) systems.
Strong understanding of interoperability standards and protocols, such as HL7, FHIR, and DICOM.
Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
