Department: SOM KC Psychiatry & Behavior Sciences Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences Position Title: Health Psychologist - Psychosocial Oncology Specialty Job Family Group: Academic Job Description Summary: The Division of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Kansas Medical Center is seeking applications for a Health Psychologist - Psychosocial Oncology Specialty to serve individuals on our interdisciplinary Onco-Psychology team in Oncology and Psychiatry. This position will join the current health psychologists in a rapidly growing, 23-member Psychology Division. Job Description: Required Qualifications: Doctorate Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from an APA or CPA accredited doctoral program (with an APA approved clinical internship) One year relevant post-doctoral experience in psychosocial oncology or health psychology Must be fully licensed or licensable in the State of Kansas (primary) and Missouri (or PSYPACT) by the time of the appointment. Job Duties Outlined: Provide assessment, treatment, psychoeducation and triage to outpatients with cancer and their caregivers at our NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Participate in interdisciplinary team-based care with the Center Participate in the professional education of psychology interns and fellows in our APA accredited programs, as well as practicum students, medical fellows, residents and students. Collaborate with other faculty in scholarly activities. Participate in Department and Division activities, faculty meetings, and other hospital and medical school committees as assigned and continuing education activities.
