Health and Wellness Coach

Greater Valley YMCA is looking to hire a Health and Wellness Coach. Health and Wellness Coach Salary: $11 per hour Health and Wellness Coach Hours: Saturday 7:00 am to 11:00 am, Sunday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, 10 hours per week (Part Time) Health and Wellness Coach Responsibilities: Leads energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes, as directed by the supervisor, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals Asks and answers questions from program participants and members to support them in achieving their goals related to health and well-being Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members and program participants connect with each other and the YMCA Observes and adjusts approach to support all participants' capabilities, physical conditions, health, and culture Celebrates achievement of program participants related to program or personal goals, mastering of specific skills or overall health and well-being Keeps accurate class attendance records. Maintains organization of Program Studios Follows YMCA policies and procedures Performs other duties as assigned Health and Wellness Coach Qualifications: Ensure the safety of all participants in the Wellness Center Respond to emergency situations Follow YMCA policies and procedures, including Emergency Procedures and Evacuation Plan Build effective relationships with members, help members connect with each other and the YMCA Be courteous, attentive, and respectful toward members Instruct orientation in the proper use of all equipment and exhibit proper exercise technique Conduct your discussions and exercise instruction with members within your scope of practice relative to your current level of professional, fitness industry certification(s) Maintain cleanliness and professionalism of Wellness Center desk, counter, shared office, closet, and surrounding spaces Complete hourly headcounts in the Wellness Center Adhere to daily maintenance schedule with reference to cleaning of machines, and folding sweat towels as needed Restock cups, paper towels, and disinfectants as needed Exercise Technicians, once scheduled, must find an appropriate substitute when needed to always maintain a high-quality service to members Performs other duties as assigned Health and Wellness Coach Benefits: Free Membership to the Y Training & Development Wellness Resources Retirement Plan (403b) and (401a) - (Employer contribution up to 8%) Childcare discounts (up to 50% off) Salary: $11.00 per hour Job Type: Part-time YMCA is an Equal Opportunity Employer All Qualified Women, Minorities, Persons with Disabilities, and US Veterans Encouraged to Apply ARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?
