Head of Risk - International Renewable Energy Firm (Chicago or New York)
I am representing a leading international renewable energy firm seeking a highly experienced Head of Risk to join their growing US team. In this role, you will lead a team of risk professionals based in either Chicago or New York.
What You'll Do:
Oversee and manage all aspects of market risk for our US energy trading operations.
Provide subject matter expertise on market risk associated with their asset portfolio, including wind farms.
Lead the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies for power, natural gas, and renewable energy certificates.
Manage a team of risk analysts and specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
Who You Are:
Possess considerable experience in the US energy industry,
Proven track record of success in prop trading and managing asset-based risk in the energy sector, with wind farm experience highly desirable.
In-depth knowledge of the North American energy wholesale market landscape; familiarity with global markets is a plus.
