We are seeking a Head of Engineering to join our growing core team.

Your role:

As Head of Engineering at Loora, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of educational technology and creating a product millions of users will love and benefit from. Your responsibilities will mainly focus on leading the design, implementation, and scaling of our mobile app's architecture for rapid growth.

Your technical decisions and implementation skills will be pivotal in building a robust, scalable, and efficient system capable of delivering an amazing experience to a rapidly growing number of users. At the same time, your technical guidance will help shape and nurture our engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and hands-on implementation of robust, scalable distributed systems across our mobile and web apps.

Lead the architectural direction to ensure our infrastructure can scale seamlessly to serve millions of users.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance, participate in code and design reviews to maintain high development standards.

Requirements:

5+ years of industry experience in software engineering, cloud infrastructure and CI/CD tools.

Technical leadership experience (Architect/tech lead or similar roles)

Experience in designing and managing production environments

Strong familiarity with distributed system design patterns, microservices architecture, and scalability principles.

Experience building CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment, infrastructure as code and Kubernetes.

Good knowledge of Python.

Mentorship and leadership skills and a can-do approach.

Even better if you have:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

Experience in the development of B2C mobile apps(from the server side of things).
