HAWAII CORPORATE COUNSEL
ProService is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Counsel to join our organization and make a direct impact on our Hawaii business. In this role, your duties would be to advise the Hawaii business on all legal matters. This could include overseeing regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, the litigation of lawsuits, working with HR to improve employee relations, and overseeing our operations teams (HR, Claims, Client Trainings).
You will be a key component to our company's success through your ideas and strategies to build a differential product and by providing the legal strategy to execute. You will collaborate with vendors and regulators to drive the development of our differential insurance products and safeguard our proprietary programs and intellectual property. As a strategic advisor, you will provide practical solutions to complex business and legal matters and introduce programs that set us apart from the competition, benefiting our valued clients.
The base compensation for this position is $175,000 to $225,000 annualized depending on experience and qualifications.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM
- Experience and strong aptitude in Health Care, workers' comp, SUTA, employment law, PEO laws, wage and hour.
- Based in Oahu, HI or open to relocate.
- Law degree Required
- Insurance, HR Tech Law and commercial litigation experience are preferred
- Innovative and entrepreneurial approach to develop competitive advantage in our products
- Strategic thinker and problem solver that finds ways to accomplish the leadership team's goals and minimize risks
- Familiar with the Hawaii government and ability to defend against and pass legislation that impacts our business.
- Strong advocacy skills, with the ability to present sound legal arguments and practical solutions in complex situations
- Proven experience building strong relationships with key vendors, including with their legal and leadership teams.
