Epsilon Systems Solutions, has a contingent job opportunity for a full-time Habitability Electrician II in San Diego, CA Summary: The position will provide maintenance and technical support to the customer. Provides technical support of shipboard habitability related electrical systems and components as a subject matter expert. Use technical documents (JFMM, Instructions, NSTM's, Military standards, Test memos, Test Standards, Drawings and Technical Manuals) that contain information required to accomplish work. This position will be under limited supervision. Duties and Responsibilities: Provides technical support on Shipboard Electrical Systems as a subject matter expert. Assesses, troubleshoots, and assists ships' force in the performance of minor repairs, adjustments, and testing on shipboard habitability systems and equipment. Shipboard habitability systems and equipment include: Galley and food service equipment Food service refrigeration equipment Food preparation equipment Food service dishwashers and garbage grinders Aqueous potassium carbonate (APC) fire-fighting system Gaylord system Laundry equipment Fan coil units/assemblies Uses technical documents (JFMM, Instructions, NSTM's, Military standards, Test memos, Test Standards, Drawings and Technical Manuals) to complete work. Performs functional checks, tests and analysis, fault detection, and formulates required corrective actions. Completes assessments and maintenance actions that may include but are not limited to: repairing or replacing wiring, fixing equipment and fixtures by using hand tools or power tools. Tests electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system. Connects wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Conducts research and provides drawings, technical manual information, design specifications, and engineering technical recommendations. Assists ships force with obtaining supply and repair parts information as required. Performs the necessary out briefs to ship's force representatives including ship's officers and supporting personnel as well as briefs to customer management. Conducts pre and post repair tests or experiments. Analyzes results and redesigns or modifies equipment to improve performance, then reports results. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 4 years' experience repairing, upgrading and performing condition assessments, performing diagnostic inspections and fault isolation on a variety of Navy shipboard electrical systems; including but not limited to ship power distribution systems, equipment control systems, electrical operators, indicating and order systems, lighting distribution systems, motors, controllers and generator Ability to read, interpret, and follow detailed written instructions, or drawings and to conduct activities in a safe manner Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedure appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance/CAC Preferred Qualifications: Naval shipboard electrical experience preferred Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $26.07 - $47.79 Hourly. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
