Job Details

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Grants Accountant to join our finance team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with grant funding requirements.

Responsibilities:

Grant Budgeting and Planning:

Collaborate with program managers and stakeholders to develop detailed grant budgets.
Ensure alignment of grant budgets with organizational goals and funding guidelines.
Financial Reporting:

Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for grantors, detailing the use of funds and compliance with grant terms.
Provide regular updates on grant financial performance to internal stakeholders.
Grant Compliance:

Stay abreast of grant regulations and guidelines, ensuring compliance with all financial requirements.
Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to grant terms and conditions.
Financial Analysis:

Conduct variance analysis comparing actual expenses to budgeted amounts.
Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing grant fund utilization.
Documentation and Record Keeping:

Maintain organized and comprehensive grant financial records for auditing purposes.
Ensure all supporting documentation is accurate, complete, and accessible.
Collaboration:

Work closely with program managers, finance team members, and external auditors.
Provide support during external audits related to grant-funded activities.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience as a Grants Accountant in a similar setting.
Knowledge of accounting principles, grant regulations, and compliance standards.
Strong proficiency in financial software and MS Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
