In the Zero Emissions space today, a significant portion of end-user investment, be it for vehicles or supporting infrastructure, is funded, in part or in whole, by various government grants and subsidies.
These grants exist both on the national (i.e. EPA) and regional (i.e. CARB) levels.
Both our dealers and customers can need assistance navigating this landscape - from keeping track of what programs are or might become available in a certain area to helping write and / or file a grant, to supporting the compliance reporting for a grant that has been awarded.
Seeking an individual with significant experience in the writing and / or administration (ideally both) of government-based grant programs.
Multiple interactions across many areas within Client the Bus and Truck sales teams, Government Relations, Compliance, just to name a few.
Will also interact with both International / IC Bus dealers and customers/end users.
Scope of responsibility for the position Manage and coordinate the grant/rebate process, focused on trucks, for dealers and customers looking to leverage these funds in their ZE purchases.
Strategic initiative that supports EV sales growth and customer experience.
Grants and rebates are a critical element for most customers pursuing a ZE purchase, and in most cases, they are not experts with the esoteric nature of the grant landscape.
This role acts as a facilitator of that critical process by being constantly aware of and up to date on available grants, and leading customers thru the grant writing, submission, award, and tracking / reporting processes.
Gather data from a variety of internal and external sources (emails, databases, reports) and other documents and enter into Master tracking document.
May be required to have direct internal/external contacts to verify date, resolve discrepancies and facilitate timely completion of grant applications.
Enter gathered data into incentive specific templates; creating a first draft application response for program partner to review.
Use critical thinking to identify any gaps or inconsistencies in applications for resolution. Support Grant Manager in resolving such issues in timely manner.
Prepare electronic applications for others using data from Master tracking document and other sources.
Ensure data integrity in Master tracking document and applications, such as verifying VIN numbers, client detail, etc.
